Disney Channel’s FLASH FORWARD Weekend is a First for the Future of Your Fav Stars! Get #Excited for #FlashForward

Disney Channel will premiere their first-ever FLASH FORWARD weekend, featuring futuristic episodes of some of your favorite shows! This fun summer celebration will begin this Friday, August 26 and continue throughout the weekend. “Teen Beach Movie” will air Saturday night at 8:00 ET/PT with a special dance-along edition of the hit song “Surf’s Up”! Keep an eye out for special guest star appearances by Ava Sambora (“This Is 40”) and Leo Howard (Disney XD’s “Kickin’ It”)  – it’s a can’t miss TV event!

FLASH FORWARD Weekend Schedule

FRIDAY, JULY 26 

8:00 p.m. – A.N.T. Farm”

When Teen Zoltan arrives in a time machine and falls in love with Chyna, he refuses to go back to the 80s without his true love, so Chyna decides to accompany him back as his prom date. Meanwhile, Lexi hopes to travel back in time to correct a horrible event from the past, an ugly photo taken on her 5th grade school picture day.

8:30 p.m. – Jessie

Future Jessie appears from an elevator time machine to warn present Jessie to run for her life. She tells Jessie that when Ravi grows up, he invents a robot version of Bertram (a Bertram-Bot) that evolves into an army that tries to destroy Jessie and take over the world.

When Fishington decides to cut the Drama Department, Bea and her friends decide to venture into Fishington’s brain to change her mind or else they’ll lose the department forever.

Join your favorite stars from “Teen Beach Movie” and dance along to “Surf’s Up.”

Ten years in the future, 14 year-old Charlie watches a video diary that Teddy made about a fight she had with Gabe, in hopes that it will guide her through her fight with an 11-year-old Toby.

To help land an internship with a city official, Avery agrees to throw a party at her house for the official’s demanding daughter. When the party spirals out of control, Avery is afraid it will jeopardize her future aspirations of becoming President of the United States. Meanwhile, Bennett and Ellen attend a sleepover at the park with Chloe and her Healthy Muffins Troop. 

8:30 p.m. – Austin & Ally”

When Austin and Ally are transported to a fantastical future, they realize that advanced technology can feel less personal when it comes to song writing, and learn to appreciate the traditional process.

9:00 p.m. – “Shake It Up”

It is 22 years in the future and the group’s 20th high school reunion is just a day away.  Dina and Deuce are happily married and expecting another baby, and while Rocky and CeCe have successful careers, they fell out of touch years ago. Dina wants them to dance together at the party for old times’ sake, but they can’t seem to agree on anything. Meanwhile, Ty and Tinka realize they may have missed out on something special in high school– each other.

Mingle Media TV was invited to cover the first-ever Radio Disney "N.B.T." (Next Big Thing) LA Concert Tour Stop at the Hollywood & Highland Center to help kick off the the Season 4 premiere of "N.B.T." on Radio Disney and Disney Channel on SUNDAY, OCTOBER 16. Allstar Weekend, Hollywood Records recording artists and "N.B.T." alum Allstar Weekend will headline the event and all five season four "N.B.T." artists will perform. Radio Disney’s on-air personality Jake Whetter will host the concert, which is sponsored by Invisalign Teen www.invisalign.com. They are currently on tour with Selena Gomez & The Scene, and their current hit single "Blame it on September" is on the Radio Disney Top 30 Countdown.

Tay Barton, 15-year-old country singer from Salt Lake City, Utah, now residing in Laguna Beach, California.

Zack Montana, 13-year-old pop singer from Los Angeles, California.

Hollywood Ending, pop/rock band made up of five members, ages 16-18 from the east coast and the UK.

Starting today at the Anaheim Stadium, is the kick off of D23 Expo.

Before we get into all the happenings, we’ve been asked what is D23 and what am I missing? D23 is an ultimate fan club that includes a special website, Disney twenty-three Magazine, member gifts, events, exclusive merchandise, and the D23 Expo, a Disney fan convention AKA “The Ultimate Disney Fan Event” – wrapped around the name D23 which is “Disney + 1923” combined.

The Official Disney Fan Club (D23) helps fans old and new celebrate the magic that began in 1923 when Walt Disney opened his studio in Hollywood. 

Now that you know what D23 is, let’s take a look at the Expo going on right now!

D23 Expo 2011 Highlights:

Exclusive Screenings and Sneak Peeks D23 Expo 2011 guests will sneak peeks and screenings of upcoming Disney TV shows, specials and movies and TV shows from The AvengersThe MuppetsJohn CarterBraveThe Lion King in 3D, Frankenweenie, and Oz The Great + many more.

Special Past, Present and Future Disney Presentations During the three day long expo there will be lots to choose from so guests can go “behind the magic” and get an up close look at Disney theme park attractions and entertainment.

Treasures of the Walt Disney Archives Exhibit Walt Disney Archives has assembled a 12,000-square-foot exhibition featuring props, costumes and set pieces from LOST and Pirates of the Caribbean; a room devoted to 1982’s Tron, and not to be left out, there will be lots of vintage Mickey Mouse memorabilia. You’ll even get to see Walt Disney’s limousine, a 23-foot-long model of the Black Pearl from Pirates of the Caribbean and the Dharma Initiative Volkswagen van from LOST.

Convention Center Arena Presentations There’s a 4,000-seat Arena in the Anaheim Convention Center where you can watch special presentations starting with the Disney Legends ceremony, honoring individuals who have contributed to the Disney legacy including Regis Philbin, Jim Henson and the voices of many of the Disney Princesses. You’ll also get to see our favorites Zendaya and Bella Thorne and a performance by the cast of the Disney Channel hit Shake It Up.

Mingle Media TV and Kristyn Burtt were invited to come out to the “Make Your Mark: Ultimate Dance Off ? ‘Shake It Up’ edition hosted by Zendaya and Bella Thorne.” This is the Disney Channel’s first national dance talent search just for kids, hosted by AT&T U-verse, at the Americana at Brand in Glendale, California. Kids ages 8-16, had the opportunity to show off their choreographed or free style dance moves as well as record a dance video for online submission for a chance to compete in a dance off to air on Disney Channel in October 2011. The grand prize also included a special guest dance spot on “Shake It Up” plus the chance to meet the cast. Fans and dance enthusiasts were also invited to learn new dance moves from the series choreographer Rosero McCoy and dancers, participate in a Q&A with Zendaya and Bella Thorne hosted by Radio Disney on-air personality Ernie D. “Make Your Mark: Ultimate Dance Off: ‘Shake It Up’ Edition” talent search continues at the following cities: San Francisco (July 9), Chicago (July 16), Atlanta (July 23), and Detroit (July 30).
