It Takes a Village with “Raising Whitley” @OWNTV Saturdays at 9 PM *ET/PT on OWN #RaisingWhitley

Have you watched the docu-series “Raising Whitley” on OWN? It follows actress and comedienne Kym Whitley and her riotous collective of friends – whom she calls “The Village” – as they attempt to do something none of them have ever done before: raise a baby…together.

Tune-in this Saturday at 9:00 PM *ET/PT for an all-new episode of “Raising Whitley” on OWN.

On this week’s episode of “Raising Whitley,” see Kym as she prepares to audition for a role as a pregnant woman from the south. Then, watch as co-parents Kym and Rodney go on a dinner date and question their compatibility as a couple. Is there a possibility for Joshua’s mom and dad to become more than just friends? Watch as these two discuss their relationship on a more romantic level.

Sneak Peek: Can Rodney and Kym Be a Real Family?

Rodney visits Kym to put Joshua to bed when he starts acting suspiciously sweet and affectionate towards Kym. Could it be… is Rodney flirting with Kym? If he is, will Rodney manage to charm his way into Kym’s life for good, and stop taking up her “man space”?

Find out on an all-new episode of Raising Whitley, Saturday at 9/8c!

More about Raising Whitley

Over the season, Kym learns the chaotic realities of becoming a full-time mom: She realizes that, while Craigslist may be perfect for finding an old couch, it’s not ideal for finding a new nanny; she survives Joshua’s first haircut; she gets her groove back on a manhunt with her girlfriends; and she discovers that being “just friends” with Joshua’s “daddy” may not be that simple.

The X Factor’s Paula Abdul Sizzles in the Latest emmy Magazine

We’ve all danced to Paula’s “Straight Up” music video and watched her on American Idol give hope to artists pouring out their hearts in auditions and during competitions. She’s the one we wished would stay instead of Simon Cowell.

Good News! She’s back and with Simon on The X Factor this fall on FOX.

In the November Issue of emmy® MagazinePaula Abdul talks about joining “The X Factor,” and how she’s excited to be on the show even gives us some insight into her relationship with fellow judge and executive producer Simon Cowell. Don’t worry, she’s in a good place and even reflects on her “American Idol” departure in the article.

If you love hearing about a true Hollywood story, you’ll love reading about how Paul started out as a Laker Girl dance and choreographer during her freshman year in college. That’s when Lake fans Marlon and Jackie Jackson asked her to choreograph the Jacksons’ “Torture” video (1984) which led to her becoming the “go-to” choreographer for the Jackson family.

Read more about Paula and for all you fashionistas out there check out some of the photos of her in the magazine wearing Balmain, Roberto Cavalli, Givenchy and Christian Louboutin to name a few.

One last extra highlight that we’d like to share is on Michael J. Fox and how acting has become easier in recent years despite the loss of physical subtlety since being diagnosed with the neurological disorder Parkinson’s – “I don’t have the elasticity of expression. I don’t have a lot of tools that I used to use. But other things have come into those spaces. I have a stillness now in spite of the motion. I have a kind of internal gravitas and perspective that makes me as an actor consider my reactions and consider my course through a scene in a way that I wouldn’t have previously…It’s the gift that keeps on taking, but it has been a gift.”
