Mingle Media TV and host, Kristyn Burtt, were invited to come out and cover 20th Anniversary Alzheimer’s Association “A Night at Sardi’s” from the Red Carpet at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Hollywood and Broadway performers took the stage for the 20th Anniversary Alzheimer’s Association “A Night at Sardi’s” fundraiser and awards dinner. The talented cast covered songs from some of Broadway’s most beloved musicals including “Hair,” Spamalot,” “Guys and Dolls” and more.

Laurie Burrows Grad founded this annual event to honor her father, the late playwright/director Abe Burrows. Since the inception of the event “A Night at Sadri’s” has raised more than $20 million to support the Alzheimer’s Association mission.

The CBS’s show “Unforgettable” will receive the Abe Burrows Entertainment Award for the inclusion of an Alzheimer’s story arc that raises concern and awareness about Alzheimer’s disease and is a reminder of how prevalent Alzheimer’s disease is in our everyday lives. The event will also honor Susan Disney Lord with the Alzheimer’s Association Caregiver of the Year Award. She was a caregiver for her mother, Patricia Disney who recently died from Alzheimer’s at the age of 77. Disney Lord is a philanthropist, advocate, and active member of the Alzheimer’s Association California Southland Chapter Board of Directors.

We also spoke with Ken Howard, president of SAG about the SAG-AFTRA Merger

Behind The Red Carpet (Day 4) at Governor’s Ball Food and Beverage Preview for the 83rd Academy Awards

Its the Thursday before The Academy Awards, Hollywood Blvd has been blocked off, the red carpet is down, and a tent has been put up for the special media preview. Mingle Media TV Network and Kristyn Burtt went out to the Food and Beverage preview today on the Red Carpet at Hollywood and Highland in a special tent for the preview. For the 17th consecutive year, master chef Wolfgang Puck has been selected by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to create the menu for the Governors Ball, the celebration immediately following the 83rd Academy Awards® presentation on Sunday, February 27, 2011. Wolfgang Puck Catering will serve the Academys 1,500 Ball guests, which will include Oscar winners, nominees, presenters and telecast participants. The 2011 menu created by Puck and chef Matt Bencivenga is inspired by Latin flavors, from classic paella to coastal seafood, along with signature favorites such as smoked salmon Oscars® and pastry chef Sherry Yards gold-dusted chocolate Oscars. Working in a state-of-the-art kitchen adjacent to the Grand Ballroom at the Hollywood & Highland Center, Puck will lead a team of chefs, pastry chefs and other culinary artists who are responsible for the cooking, presentation and execution of the menu. For video interview coverage of this event, please visit the Red Carpet Report on Mingle Media TV at http://www.minglemediatv.com/redcarpetreport.html.
