The Alliance of Women in Media, formerly known as American Women in Radio and Television (AWRT), will honor the 2013 National Award winners at the 38th Annual Gracie Awards Gala. The Gracie Awards named for radio and television pioneer Gracie Allen, recognize exemplary programming created for women, by women, and about women in all facets of media, including radio, television, cable and new media.

The Gracies are presented by the Alliance for Women in Media Foundation which supports educational programs, charitable activities, public service campaigns and scholarships to benefit the public and women in the media. The Gracie Awards, established in 1975, honor programming and individuals of the highest caliber in all facets of radio, television, cable and digital media, including news, drama, comedy, commercials, public service, documentary and sports. 2013 Genesis Awards Benefit Gala Benefiting The Humane Society

Mingle Media TV and Red Carpet Report host, Linda Antwi, were invited to cover the 2013 Genesis Awards Benefit Gala, supporting the life-saving work of The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), at the Beverly Hilton. This was the second year that “Dancing with the Stars” judge, Carrie Ann Inaba, hosted the event and marks 27 years of inspiring change for animals, with this year’s event benefitting three of the organization’s top animal welfare priorities: Pets for Life, Chimps Deserve Better and Farm Animal Protection. Pop icon, Ke$ha and outspoken animal advocate, was also honored with the Wyler Award.
