Friday Night’s Gala screening was of director Ang Lee’s THE LIFE OF PI in 3D, a groundbreaking movie event about a young man who survives a disaster at sea and is hurled into an epic journey of adventure and discovery.

Also at AFI was the Los Angeles Times’ Young Hollywood Roundtable with Amy Kaufman talking to four acclaimed young talents — Bella Heathcote (NOT FADE AWAY), Logan Lerman (THE PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER), Aubrey Plaza (PARKS AND RECREATION, SAFETY NOT GUARANTEED) and Mary Elizabeth Winstead (SMASHED) about life behind the scenes, the art of acting and the upcoming award season.
