About Good Luck Charlie
The series follows two teenagers, Teddy (Bridgit Mendler) and PJ Duncan (Jason Dolley) and their 10-year-old brother, Gabe (Bradley Steven Perry), whose parents enlist their help when they return to work after the birth of their fourth child, Charlotte (nicknamed “Charlie”). With their parents juggling full-time careers, they pitch in, getting very familiar with baby formula, burps, clothes, and babysitting while navigating typical teenage life. In each episode, Teddy creates a personalized video diary for Charlie. Each video will chronicle Teddy’s daily adventures and mishaps for Charlie to use as advice when her big sister is no longer living at home.

Disney Channel’s “Good Luck Charlie” Premieres Sunday May 6th with Make Room for Baby & a New TV Mommy Blogger

Season 3 kicks off on Sunday Night on the Disney Channel as the Duncan family from “Good Luck Charlie” adjusts to the news of another new baby arriving and the changes from needing a new home to mom Amy leaving her full-time job to be at home become the focus of the start of the season.

“Good Luck Charlie” stars include Bridgit Mendler, Jason Dolley, Leigh-Allyn Baker, Bradley Steven Perry, Mia Talerico and Eric Allan Kramer and Raven Goodwin, Shane Harper and Micah Williams return to reprise their roles as Ivy, Spencer and Emmett.

It’s more diapers, bottles and onesies for the Duncans as they prepare to welcome the newest member of their family. Baby Duncan, whose name was chosen by more than 25 million votes worldwide on

We got to speak with Leigh-Allyn Baker from her vacation in Paris earlier this week. One of the fascinating things we found it is that the series is very popular with kids and tweens ranking #2 in those categories. We asked Leigh-Allyn why she thought it was so popular and she told us that the show has something for everyone to identify with, “even though kids roll their eyes, they want to enjoy doing something with their family” and watching “Good Luck Charlie” is a way to bring families together for an entertaining event.

Leigh-Allyn also told us that she has some similar personality traits with her character, Amy, which include being outgoing, fun, theatrical and even to some extent her characters desire for stardom, that some times backfires.

Being a mother herself, Leigh-Allyn and the other cast members get to offer input to the producers and writers for character development and ideas for upcoming shows. Leigh-Allyn likes how the creators pay attention to who the actor is and mixes the character and personality together to make their performance realistic and entertaining.

One of the interesting things that happens this season is that Amy starts a new venture – a blog and becomes a “mommy blogger.” We are excited to see this role on the Disney Channel as there  are millions of mom’s out there who are blogging about their families and many of them are making a living at it as well.

Some more interesting facts about Leigh-Allyn: her birthday is April 3rd and she has a 3-year-old son and is pregnant with her second child. Her son’s favorite show is “Jake and the Neverland Pirates” along with “Doc McStuffins” on the Disney Channel (of course!).

You may also recognize Leigh-Allyn from her roles on “Will and Grace” and “Charmed” as well as numerous other roles in television and movies.

“Good Luck Charlie” was created by Phil Baker and Drew Vaupen (“Suddenly Susan” and “What I Like About You”) and is executive-produced by Baker, Vaupen and Dan Staley (“Cheers,” “Love & Money”).

New episodes of “Good Luck Charlie” air SUNDAYS on Disney Channel. The series is a production of It’s A Laugh Productions, Inc. and carries a TV-G parental guideline. Click here for more info on this show or like the series on Facebook at

Are you curious? What is “Marketing to Moms”? Jessica Gottlieb takes on this Hot Topic

When we started talking to Mom Blogger, Jessica Gottlieb, about doing a live weekly web TV show, we were struck by her passion as a mom blogger and social media enthusiast.

If you haven’t seen or heard of Jessica before, you’ve missed out. She’s on the Forbes 14 list of women to follow on Twitter, she’s a panelist on the web series: Momversation, she’s been on ABC, CNN and Dr. Phil several times. Jessica is also a public speaker and will be speaking in New York next week at the #140 Conference. It doesn’t stop there, she is also internationally well-known as last week she was written up on an Italian Mom Blog site about her upcoming show.

What does that tell you? She’s hit a nerve as the monetizing the mom blogger market grows and so many mom bloggers are being approached by brands with social marketing campaigns that go from great to what were they thinking?

Each week, Jessica will talk about moms and brand marketing. You’re invited to join in the conversation as her show airs live streaming with an open chat room at 1 PM EST on Wednesdays. Jessica’s show is also streaming LIVE on your smart phone with chat and is recorded live for replay after her show has ended in case you missed it.

You can find out more about Jessica at her blog or visit her show page on Mingle Media TV.
