Mingle Media TV was invited to see the big reveal of the Disney Pixar Toy Story LEGO mural put together by 6 groups of Boy and Girls Club kids from across the country.
We were there and captured the footage from talking to the experts to watching the kids countdown to see the completed masterpiece. Watch the video to see all the fun!
Pixar Story Supervisor Jason Katz (Toy Story, Toy Story 2, Toy Story 3) and LEGO Master Builder Erik Varszegi joined kids from the Hollywood Boys & Girls Club to assemble a one-of-a-kind Toy Story & Toy Story 2 mural (just in time for the release on Blu-ray™).
Kids from six different Boys & Girls Clubs across the US in regional markets each built a portion of the elaborate Toy Story mural out of LEGO® bricks, which were joined together for the first time in Los Angeles. Participating Cities included: Washington DC, Chicago, Houston, Philadelphia, Denver and Los Angeles.
Special Thanks to Disney for their long standing relationship with Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) – over 50 years. Disney has donated millions in financial and in-kind donations as well as volunteer services to support Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
Be sure to mark your calendars for June 18th 2010 as Disney•Pixar’s Toy Story 3 will be in theaters around the US.
