Join Chris O’Donnell and Support Hunger Action Month #Orange4Hunger

reblogged from the RCR article found here

We got to speak with Chris O’Donnell, of NCIS LA fame and father of 5, about his passion for helping hungry kids in the US and bring awareness to Hunger for Action Month and this cause.

Did you know that nearly 16 million or more than 1-in-5 children in the U.S. miss the vital meals they need for an active, healthful life every day?

Chris reminded us about something we all know… It’s one thing to have school lunch programs for kids in need, but some schools don’t have a breakfast program and that is the most important meal of the day for kids – they need nutritious foods for their minds and bodies to grow as they are meant to. Chris connected with helping kids back when he attended Boston College and was a “Big Brother” he saw first hand how kids in need really want to have stability and know they will have a meal, at meal time. Last summer, Chris got involved with the ConAgra Food’s program and made a PSA (see below) and continues to champion this cause. Chris tells us that the special thing about September is that is is “Hunger  forAction” month and this program can help make everyone aware about it just by sharing the #Orange4Hunger hashtag and visual…let’s not take for granted that there are kids out there who need our help.
