NFL Football Player & Philanthropist, Jarvis Green, Special Guest on Insightful Player TV

Jarvis Green

Jarvis Green

Jarvis Green  best known as an American football defensive end who currently plays on the Houston Texans and was originally drafted by the New England Patriots in the fourth round of the 2002 NFL Draft. Jarvis played college football at Louisiana State.

Jarvis has come a long way from his roots in a small town in Louisiana, the former LSU construction engineering major best known for running through his opponents on the field, racking up sacks and causing fumbles and being named Defensive Player of the Week numerous times throughout his career is also a giver - he gives back to those in need.
Jarvis has been an integral part in his team's winning 2 Super Bowls but as you'll see today on Insightful Player TV, when the pads and helmet come off, he remains humble.

Green was awarded the New England Patriots Ron Burton Community Service Award in 2006 and has since founded the Jarvis Green Foundation in 2007 to provide support to single working mothers in disadvantaged, low-income areas (i.e., Hurricane Katrina single mothers).
The Foundation's first event was a September 2007 wine tasting and silent auction, which raised money for single mothers affected by Hurricane Katrina.
His foundation is hosting a fundraising event on May 27th in Baton Rouge, LA. For more information on Jarvis and his foundation, please visit:

Jarvis Green, one of 32 current and former NFL players recognized as Insightful Players will be the guest of the new weekly Insightful Player online show on  Tuesday, May 10 at 7 p.m. ET.
