Mingle Media TV and Red Carpet Report host, Erin White, were invited to cover the 2012 Make Your Mark: Shake it Up Dance Off talent competition for kids. The competition will be airing in two parts, Friday October 19th and Sunday October 21st on the Disney Channel (8:00 p.m., ET/PT).

Justin Bieber and Olympic Gold medalist Gabby Douglas appear, Debby Ryan (“Jessie”) and Roshon Fegan (“Shake It Up,” “Dancing with the Stars”) will once again host the event. This year the judges include platinum recording artist Cher Lloyd (“Want U Back,” “The X Factor”), top choreographer Rosero McCoy (“Shake It Up,” “Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam”); Emmy nominated choreographer Christopher Scott (“So You Think You Can Dance,” “Dancing With the Stars”); Disney Channel stars Bella Thorne and Zendaya and Roshon Fegan, Debby Ryan and Ross Lynch (“Austin & Ally”).

For this year’s competition, more than 90,000 dance videos were submitted and now the field has been narrowed to a group of select finalists vying for viewers’ votes. The winner, revealed during Sunday’s telecast, will go on to dance in an episode of Disney Channel’s hit series “Shake It Up.”

For two hours following the October 19 telecast, viewers can vote for their favorite finalist at www.DisneyChannel.com/DanceOff, or by texting their vote to DISNEY or by calling toll free to finalists’ numbers. Viewers can vote up to five times on each device – online, text and phone.

Emmy nominated choreographer Christopher Scott (“So You Think You Can Dance” and “Dancing With the Stars”) will work with the finalists, including 15-year-old Ashley from South Carolina; 14-year-old Starley and 16-year-old Chris from Washington; DJ’s Mix -9-year-old Jaycee and 10-year-old Dylynn from Arizona; Team Identity – 15-year-old Jay, 16-year-old Faustino, 15-year-old Xavier from Pennsylvania; BX5 Crew – 10-year-old Levi, 13-year-old Brady, 12-year-old Jalen, 10-year-old Anthony, 11-year-old Marcus from Washington; and Urban Xtreme – 13-year-old Star, 13-year-old Cori, 13-year-old Regan, 13-year-old Alisson, 14-year-old Ryan from California.

Busy, Busy, OH MY, We’re Busy! Sci-Fi, Emmy’s & BET Award Shows!

This weekend couldn’t be any more crazy… Mingle Media TV is in Burbank today for the
Saturn AwardsThe 36th Annual Saturn Award’s (Sci-Fi) and we are so excited because we are Sci-Fi geeks and the celebs attending will be amazing, the movies, TV shows and other productions are amazing this year…

So if you’re not really a Sci-Fi buff, but go to the movies, you’ll recognize these amazing films starting with the leader of the nominations: James Cameron’s 3-D fantasy “Avatar” with 10 nominations followed by  “Sherlock Holmes” with 8 nominations, and close behind are “Inglourious Basterds” and “Watchmen” receiving  7 nominations apiece. Some more of MMTVN‘s favorites:  “District 9” and J.J. Abrams’ “Star Trek” and “District 9” each have 6 nominations each.

In the TV show categories “Lost” is at the top with 8 nominations with “Dexter” (Showtime),“Breaking Bad” (AMC), and “True Blood” (HBO) with 5 nominations each.  Not sure why “Fringe” (Fox) only got 3? but I guess I didn’t get my votes in… “Doctor Who” (BBC), and “Leverage” (TNT) also have 3 nominations apiece.
