About the Hero Dog Awards
The American Humane Association introduces the 3rd Annual American Humane Association Hero Dog Awards presented by the Lois Pope LIFE Foundation and produced by Emmy® award-winning MRB Productions. On October 5th, eight of America’s top dogs will be given “Hero Dog” awards – Everything from the “Search and Rescue Dog Award” to the “Therapy Dog Award”. All winning Hero Dogs are chosen by the public as winners in each category, where one Hero Dog will take home the top prize and be named the “2013 American Hero Dog”. Hosting the awards will be Joey Lawrence, who will be accompanied by special celebrity guest, Betty White. The night’s special honoree will be Miranda Lambert and the featured musical performer will be Frankie Moreno.
