Disney Pixar’s 1st TV Special: Toy Story of TERROR! premieres Wednesday, October 16 on ABC

Disney•Pixar’s Toy Story of TERROR! premieres Wednesday, October 16 at 8|7c only on ABC

Excerpt from the Red Carpet Report article by special correspondent Lance Trachtenberg:

Returning to their roles as Woody, Buzz Lightyear and Jessie, Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, and Joan Cusack lead the cast of immediately recognizable toys come to life characterizations made famous in the 1995 globally popular film ‘Toy Story’ and its subsequent sequels (‘Toy Story 2′, 1999; and ‘Toy Story 3′, 2010) in ‘Toy Story Of Terror’, a new adventure that finds these beloved characters up against all new adeversaries during a frightful roadside motel stopover with new owner Bonnie (introduced to audiences in ‘Toy Story 3′). Vociferous vegetable Mr. Potato Head (Don Rickles), cringing dinosaur Rex (Wallace Shawn) and omniscient porcupine Mr. Pricklepants (Timothy Dalton) ride shotgun with Woody, Buzz and Jessie this time out as the six strong gang of animate toys take on a particularly troublesome new villain while running into a few more new and old friends along the way.

Pop Quiz: When is National Etiquette Week??

That’s right, it’s now… May 10–14, 2010. Did you know that National Etiquette Week’s the recognition of etiquette and protocol in all areas of American life—business, social, dining, travel, technology, wedding and international protocol. That’s a mouthful.

Next Pop Quiz: What breach in etiquette drives you crazy? That’s the top question on Kaboose today. Leading the pack in answers: “Not saying thank you.”

Disney is getting into the spirit by featuring special programming to help raise awareness about courtesy, civility, kindness and manners as well as rally people to act with good manners in their everyday lives.

Can You Teach My Alligator MannersTune into Playhouse Disney this week for the hit short-form series, “Can You Teach My Alligator Manners?,” beginning May 10 -14 (8:25 am/7:25am c ) on Disney Channel. “Can You Teach My Alligator Manners?” stars Mikey and his pet alligator, Al. Mikey encourages viewers to help him teach his scaly best friend how to behave properly. Whether it’s being a good sport on the playground or how to behave properly at the library or in a restaurant, it’s up to Mikey and preschoolers to help Al learn good manners.

In addition to the special programming, beginning May 10, parents and preschoolers will be able to visit www.PlayhouseDisney.com and download super  cool color print-outs of Mikey and Al’s tips  on how to have good manners in various situations including Team Sports, Nature Park, Museum, Swimming Pool, Elevator, among others.
For preschoolers (or parents) who are table manner challenged, you can also print out a placemat which features great tips on good table manners.

This is a great start for helping remind kids about things we try to teach them at home – please feel free to share this with your friends (and the kids who your kids play with – who you want to send home when they are not being model citizenswink).

(¯`*•.¸,¤°´ Happy Mother’s Day `°¤,¸.•*´¯)

From All of us at Mingle Media TV – we’d like to wish you and your family the best today and always.

Each of us has a special story about our mother, grandmother, great grandmother or other family member who played a role in our lives. This is a day to reflect and honor those whom we love and cherish.

We appreciate the moms who are part of the MMTVN family and produce great conversations each week to connect with others and make new friends.

One thing I will remember that my mother (she passed away right after my 18th birthday) used to say about Mother’s Day is that “every day is mother’s day” her way of telling us that we should always be honoring those in our lives, not just wait for a special occasion. She was a great example of honoring others daily as she did random acts of kindness for friends, family and strangers. Growing up, I literally saw her give the clothes off her back to those in need (jackets, sweaters, scarves etc…). We were far from wealthy but she did many things for others who had greater needs and most of all, she gave them her respect as she honored them, and they loved her for her spirit and her infectious laugh.

Life is a gift, and it offers us the privilege, opportunity, and responsibility to give something back by becoming more”  Anthony Robbins

Now to add some of my son’s warped sense of humor to the day – here is the lovely e-card he sent me for Mother’s Day after I went through chemotherapy (breast cancer). I know it was a scary time for him but we faced it together and now I’m gonna live a long life so he has to take care of me in my old age LOL!!

Happy Mother's Day
