Mingle Media TV and Red Carpet Report host, Linda Antwi, were invited to cover The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Oscar-winning film “Who Framed Roger Rabbit”. The evening included a screening of the newly digitally restored film and onstage discussion with members of the cast and crew.

It’s 1947 Hollywood and Eddie Valiant (Bob Hoskins), a down-on-his-luck detective, is hired to find proof that Marvin Acme, gag factory mogul and owner of Toontown, is playing hanky-panky with femme fatale Jessica Rabbit, wife of Maroon Cartoon superstar, Roger Rabbit. When Acme is found murdered, all fingers point to Roger who begs the Toon-hating Valiant to find the real evildoer. Originally released in theaters in 1988, the film — a blend of live-action and classic animation — was honored with four Academy Awards for Best Film Editing, Best Sound Effects Editing, Best Visual Effects, and a Special Achievement Award in Animation Direction. In honor of the 25th Anniversary of the Academy Award® winning film, Touchstone Pictures has released a special 25th Anniversary Blu-ray™ Edition of “WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT” with new eye-popping digital restoration.
