Mirror Mirror - Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
It’s always fun to be invited to go to screeners to see movies that you really want to see. Yes, I really wanted to see Mirror Mirror, and as it starred Julia Roberts, Nathan Lane, Armie Hammer and Lilly Collins and of course, wanted to see one of my childhood fairy tales retold with a fresher look and stronger female in Snow White? Not that I am looking to compare this to Once Upon a Time on ABC TV, but it is 2012 and we should be able to change things up a bit.
This movie is fresh, funny and magical granted the handsome Prince Alcott, was a little more sensitive than I like my men, but for a remake on an old favorite, I can say that I found it entertaining and I especially enjoyed the musical pieces. If you see the movie pay attention to the song in the ballroom scene with the dance number featuring Lily singing, dwarves dancing and the entire cast joining in, called “I Believe in Love“. I will admit to seeing anything with Julia Roberts… and Nathan Lane. Now I will also add Armie Hammer and Lily Collins.
Mirror Mirror launched overseas in Europe on March 15 and is officially releasing in the US Friday, March 30, 2012.
